The Flight Across the Atlantic to Greece

This is the morning after the day we left JFK only it is somewhere over the Atlantic or Spain. You can see the sun shining through the left side windows onto the right bulkhead.

Everyone is so excited that they were able shaved around five hours from the night's sleep.

Do I need to trim my nostrils?

Notice the cocktail?

On the way to Greece, after parking on the runway of JFK for awhile, Nicolsgetti is showing some attitude.

Mark is performing surgery on his pasta.

Mark, Suzanne and Joe in Mytelene

Mark and Suzanne can't seem to get the pace of life in Greece down but Joe is right in sync.

When in Lesbos...

Kevin fought hard to poke his head in the woman's hole, but Nicolette won. She said it's more appropriate that she does - besides, she doesn't know how to play guitar.

And does anyone else think it's odd to pose as a Mexican in Greece?

Early Bird

This was my first sunrise in Greece viewed across Gera Bay. The others were sleeping in recovering from the flight. All accept for maybe Tom who was known to rise early in search of pastries and Nescafe.
This was one of the pastries baked by Bills wife Maria. They were great. Shelia got the recipe but it was a struggle since she doesn't speak Greek and Maria speaks about the same amount of English.
This is Suzanne in Athens waiting for the flight to Lesvos. She's thinking,

"Why has my watch stopped?"

May 17 - Arrival in Gera Bay, Lesbos, Greece. Our home for the next 6 days.

Arriving in Gera Bay was wonderful. Not only to be finally arriving at our destination but the whole experience of being in Greece - the land of our grandfather, a piece our history. We were in awe, we were welcomed graciously by our hosts - Bill and Maria - we were exhausted and hungry.
